The Feast of St. Valentine

By Kim S.

Poll a random sampling of individuals on their thoughts on the importance of February the 14th, and the responses are sure to run the gamut: some eyes will roll, while big red cartoon hearts will appear in others.

Regardless of where you fall along the rosy-hued spectrum, Valentine’s Day has its origins as a feast day – a day for drink and revelry – so why not grab the one you love (or love the one you’re with) and head out to the Growl girl reviewed and recommended Windsor gem, World Marathon Ethiopian Restaurant.

World Marathon would be a good choice for couples or a group of single friends. The setting is intimate, and diners can order platters to share for up to four people. As a bonus, World Marathon is located on University Avenue right near the heart of downtown Windsor, just in case you and your significant other (or your crew!) aren’t ready for the night to end after the coffee ceremony.

Love World Marathon! Can’t wait to go back, on Feb 14th or any day, the food there is simply delicious! Great recommendation Kim!

I can still smell those roasting coffee beans, and the incense… and I think I may still be a little buzzed from the caffeine, all these months later! I’m greatly looking forward to revisiting Marathon.
